Being well turned out for swinger dating, attending swinger clubs or going to sex parties is one of the key factors for swinger lifestyle success. Making a good impression by your personal appearance not only influences how others feel about you; it makes you feel good too.
On this page we provide some grooming tips for single males, females and couples. By following them you will avoid falling into that sad category that swingers sometimes complain about; the people who turn up unsuitably attired, shabbily groomed.
Whether the date is with a female or a swinger-couple, the important thing is to dress in a fashion that is appropriate for the meeting place. If you are meeting up in a restaurant, hotel, pub or club for example, tee shirts and jeans or shorts are unlikely to impress. On the other hand, overdoing formality and turning up for a date at a fairly ordinary pub, wearing a dinner suit could easily create the impression that you are a bit of a 'stuffed-shirt'.
It is important to take care of the little things. For example; making sure that a tie or pair of socks are exactly the right choice to go with your other clothes.
Always remember that your personal hygiene is the most important detail of all. The cleanliness and trim of your nails will get noticed. Trimming hair from the nostrils or ears is as important as using a deodorant. Leaving wax in your ears is also asking for it to be noticed (by smell as well as sight)!
A man's hair has a very significant effect on how he looks. Although a certain type of hair-messiness can be quite cool, it mustn't look like it happened because you couldn't be bothered. In any case, it is probably wiser to go for a neat style that looks cared for. Shave or trim your beard to ensure that your facial features are not hidden. Use a quality aftershave but make sure that it is not excessively strong; subtlety is best.
The very essence of swinger dating is about finding people to enjoy recreational sex with. It is clearly in keeping with this aim for a woman to make herself look as sexy as possible. Unlike romance dating, there is little risk of going too far in this respect, provided your attire is appropriate to the meeting place and your personal comfort. Nevertheless, make-up can easily be overdone and the most important consideration is how it suits you and your personality. If it looks artificial, it will be a source of embarrassment to you all evening and your self confidence will take a knock.
Swingers and high heels go together like bread and butter, so wear them if you can. If you are one of those people who just feels too uncomfortable in them, wear the most comfortable pair of snazzy low heels you can find.
No matter how sexy they might dress, getting the hair to look right is as important to swinger females as any other women. Try to go to your hairdresser the day before the date and always ensure that it is not greasy and is washed well. Ensure that your hair looks natural and unruly ends have been trimmed. Never go for a colour change just before a date and in general it is best to keep styles as simple as possible.
For males, grooming advice for attending a sex party is the same as the grooming advice, given above, for going on a swinger date; except to add that most swinger clubs and sex party venues publish a dress code. If they do, make sure you read it and comply with its requirements.
For women there is usually one very important difference. This is that sex parties and swinger clubs not only allow but encourage women to dress in a fashion that would not be socially or even legally acceptable in many other places. For example; a typical venue dress code might read; Males: Dress to impress. Females: wear as little as you dare.
Whilst most sex parties are happy to admit women dressed in more conventional attire, they will all agree that parties are much more likely to swing when the majority of female guests are scantily dressed. Although first time swingers sometimes find it hard to bolster sufficient courage to wear scanty, revealing lingerie or other erotic attire, those that do will certainly be those who are the most likely to enjoy the kind of evening they hoped for whilst those that don't are most likely to be amongst the guests who go home feeling the whole scene was a bit of a let down. Looking sexy and being naked is a guaranteed way to feel sexy and consequently having a good time.
Finally, a note about wearing nothing at all that applies to males, females and couples. Whilst most swinger clubs and parties are quite okay about naturist swingers attending and enjoying total nudity throughout most, if not all, of the event; full nudity is a fairly rare occurrence except at venues which double up as naturist spas or when a sex party is specifically organised as a naturist-swinger event. Our article, What do people wear at swinger parties provides more information on this subject.
